Without a doubt, the most valuable asset that any organization possesses is its people. Without people, nothing happens.

 

Actually, that's not entirely true: without conscientious and engaged people, nothing happens. Having people who are indifferent, complacent, and feel entitled will foster a stagnant environment.

The power of information and analytics.

There is both an art and a science to turning data into information.

But first you must have access to the correct data.

Then and only then can you interpret that data and turn it into information that both supports and supplements decision making.

Tools and Technology

 

 

Technology doesn't solve problems.

People using technology effectively solves problems.

The tools and technologies at our disposal today can be overwhelming for some. We take comfort in knowing what we know and doing what we do. Change is frequently interpreted as adding complexity.

 

Change for the right reasons takes us closer to our goals.

Efficient and Effective

 

There is a fundamental misunderstanding of these two terms and, therefore, these terms are frequently, and incorrectly, used interchangably.

 

A great deal of time and resources can be spent on making processes more efficient: achieving maximum output or outcome with minimum wasted effort or expense.

 

Much less thought, however, is placed on determining what processes are effective: successfully undertaking steps to produce a desired or intended outcome.

 

Not much point to trying to get somewhere more quickly if you don't know where you're going !

 

Do the right thing.

Do it well.
